Used these guys to get rid of a car today, was offered a very competitive scrap price. Their communication was... excellent, from booking the collection, through to on the day itself. Car was in an awkward to access car park, and this required time to sort access, guy that came to collect was patient, friendly and really helpful. Had all paperwork ready (as I had no logbook), and payment was by cheque, handed over during collection. Really easy, straight forward and reliable service! I have visited Wraysbury car spares many times over the years and have fortunate to buy second hand car and van parts... from them at very reasonable prices. What I particularly like is that they are extremely safety conscious, and will very loudly vocally let make you aware if you stray into a restricted area. I was not fortunate enough to find the parts I wanted on this visit, but that is unusual. They allow parts to be removed from scrap cars by the purchaser themselves, old school, but only in safe areas. Really worth a visit. If you tell them that Niall sent you you are likely to get a blank stare. 🙂read more

I recently decided to scrap my battered old Fiesta, and after obtaining a few online quotes from local scrapyards of... varying reputation, I opted for the safety net of a popular price comparison website. Of the three companies who bid for my rusty old junker, Wraysbury Car Spares returned the most competitive price, which also beat the independent sites I had visited. Once I accepted their offer, I was promptly called by a pleasant chap by the name of Tom, who booked the collection and explained what docs I needed to provide. The pick up was made at the agreed time by an equally friendly flatbed driver who promptly handed over a cheque in return for the V5 and car keys. Simplicity itself. It seems like the market for scrap vehicles is driven by a select few websites that all use the same removal suppliers.... I only noticed this after being let down on a collection from one website. After calling another they cited the same removal company. In short the service providers appear to be playing with their internet advertising budget to 'bid' on cars but the back end service falls down through over-booking and poor customer service. Honestly if you are looking to cut out the hassle just go straight to a scrap dealer as that is where the car will end up anyway. All of my dealings with Wraysbury Car Spares and Metals were courteous, efficient, reliable and without the drama of texts, call backs, web-forms, missed appointments. Life is too short for some of this (avoidable) drama and I personally wish I'd gone straight to this firm in the first instance. Short walk to Staines BR after you have dropped your car off. Almost no hassle whatsoever. Recommended.read more

Excellent service. We agreed a price and time for collection over the phone for a scrap car. The driver called as... agreed before arrival and came at the exact time. He was friendly and courteous. Don't waste your time! I used their website to arrange collection of a scrap car by entering the VRM and postcode... which confirmed a price. I agreed it and submitted my details which confirmed they would contact me within a few days but I never heard back! I also sent them an email but they never responded to that either!
